Best of 2019

HEY THERE!

It was a wild year, folks. 15 weddings + 81 sessions later and we’ve somehow landed in 2020. Though 2019 presented me with a whole slew of rough days personally, I didn’t feel anything but gratitude for this magical job. Photography brought me to Joshua Tree, San Diego, NYC, Oahu, and Olympic National Park. It gave me endless laughs with my incredible seniors, fluttering butterflies in my tummy from my gorgeous couples, tear-stained cheeks after nearly every wedding.

I’ve got an awful lot of flowery, emotional thoughts about all that photography has given me. Far beyond travel opportunities and exciting jobs, it’s given me most of my closest friends. It’s given me an outlet to express feelings that I couldn’t quite put to words. A safe place to be queer. A safe place for my body. A medium to help and contribute and give back in whatever small way that I can. Empowerment for myself and a vessel to empower others. It’s where I feel my strongest and my bravest and my best. And to each and every person who has encouraged me, supported me, worked alongside me - I could not be more thankful.

I’ve rounded up a handful or two of my favorite images from 2019 and I hope you’ll take a scroll through with me and reflect on this last year. I know it was full of aches for lots of us, but I appreciate the opportunity to be able to bring just a lil bit of beauty into it.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: you’ve made a lil dream of mine into a reality. I’m so excited to see who I’ll meet, where I’ll go, and what we’ll make together. Cheers to the new year.
