Sydney + Dallas // Lake Michigan Horse Engagement Session

It’s not every day that I get to do an engagement session for one of my very best friends (though so many of my clients feel like they could be), so having the honor of creating these photos for our sweet pals felt extra special. Syd is my wife’s bestie, and I love that marrying Holly came with the privilege of having Syd in my life, too.

She and Dallas met as teenagers, and have spent over a decade growing together and creating a beautiful little family - consisting of two cats, two frogs, and one silly corgi (featured below). Holly and I have watched them move in together, navigate about a million strokes of bad luck, add animals to their pack, buy a house, and get engaged, and to say we’re excited for the next chapter for them feels like a massive understatement. We were so excited when they told us they wanted to come to Wisconsin for a Lake Michigan engagement session (and for Dallas to get a case of Spotted Cow), and I’ve been anxiously awaiting sharing the result ever since. As an aspiring horse girl, we had to surprise Syd with some photos at a gorgeous ranch just for good measure, too.

So lucky to know these sweethearts and even more so to consider them family. <3
