Annelise + Emily // LGBTQ+ Rustic Wedding at Great Escape Lodge

HEY THERE!

Are y’all ready for the wedding of the decade? Annelise + Emily have spent ten years loving eachother - through loss, through plenty, through bringing a cute lil dog into their family. They chose to celebrate with an incredible party in the woods at Great Escape Lodge, which is a venue that holds lots of sentimental memories for me. In 2020, I was photographing a wedding for one of my favorite couples (hi, Breckin + Josh) and just met my wife Holly for the first time a few weeks prior. It was while at this wedding that I realized I was truly, madly, deeply in love with her, so these woods hold a little piece of our history too! Sharing in some queer joy just about five years from that moment was such a special treat for me!

A sun-soaked first look, a ceremony nestled in the pines, a T-Pain grand entrance (“I could put you in a mansion, somewhere in Wiscansin”), a recording of Emily’s late mother singing for their father-daughter dance, and a late-night pizza party? What more could anyone ever ask for?
