Austin + Tyler are two incredibly vibrant human beings, and spending their wedding day with them + their community was an utter joy. Their families - given, chosen, and drag - surrounded them with so much love through an emotional day, sharing in their moments of bliss + remembrance alike.

Since losing my dad in 2022, my framework for photographing weddings has shifted. Realizing that nearly every wedding is missing someone in attendance - whether from a death or an estrangement or some other circumstance altogether - has reminded me to pay attention not only the celebration of the day but also the tender grief that can arise when our loved ones aren’t seated at the table with us. As a creative witness to your wedding day, I consider it my responsibility to hold space for the full spectrum of feelings that come with the experience - and to document all of them with the same care across the board.
