Sydney + Dallas // Retro + Romantic Las Vegas Elopement at Sure Thing Chapel

HOWDY!

There is something so truly humbling in photographing the wedding of someone very dear to you. To not only be present in the intimacy of their wedding day, but to also play the role of the documentarian for the moments you will talk and cry and laugh about for the rest of your lives.

When I met my wife Holly, I quickly learned that falling in love with her meant that I would also have the immense privilege of friendship with Syd + Dal. We’ve shared holidays together, swapped stories of our awkward adolescenses, watched them step gracefully into the position of aunt + uncle. Simply put, they are a part of our chosen family from now until the end of time.

In February, we joined them in celebrating over a decade of their love by hopping on a plane to Vegas (a true sign of our allegiance), where they eloped in a teeny tiny ceremony at Sure Thing Chapel. The day was sweet and silly and full of the kind of kitsch you can only find in Vegas. I was also lucky enough to have my best friend Evan there alongside me to capture the day on film! Truly all of my favorite people in one (strange and surreal) city.
