Margaret + Olivia // LGBTQ+ Cozy Minneapolis Couples Session

HOWDY!

One of my favorite parts of my work is that I often have the opportunity to watch couples grow together through so many sweet milestones, from engagement to wedding day and beyond. When Margaret reached out hoping to surprise Olivia with a session in their home before they moved on to the next one, I was so elated at the chance to see them again!

I first met these two at the wedding of their friends (another fave couple of mine), where I instantly spotted their lovely connection and fell head over heels for them. The following autumn, we met on the North Shore for their engagement session along the shoreline of Lake Superior, and then again in September of 2024 for their picture-perfect backyard wedding. Coming back to their home to document their extraordinarily thoughtful + intentional life together was an absolute joy. Each morning, they share coffee and Stroopwafels on the couch together - a ritual that I think everyone should probably adopt - and it is so very evident that this little routine of choosing each other has brought them so much security + safety in all seasons of life. (Also, I think the photos of their kitty stealing a Stroopwafel is actually the height of my acheivements as a photographer and I might need to just retire now.)
